Before TRT can be prescribed, two separate blood tests are normally required. Most patients begin with an initial testosterone screening test. If the result supports further assessment, a comprehensive venous blood panel is then used to confirm hormone levels and review the wider health markers required before treatment.
We offer two approaches to ongoing care. All-Inclusive Plans combine treatment, monitoring, clinical reviews and injection supplies within one predictable monthly price. Flexible Care Plans have a lower monthly clinic fee for suitable patients who prefer to arrange blood tests and injection supplies separately.

Your consultation gives a qualified UK clinician the opportunity to review your symptoms, medical history, blood results and wider health before deciding whether TRT is clinically appropriate.
If your blood results support further assessment, you will be invited to attend a remote consultation with a qualified UK clinician experienced in testosterone replacement therapy.
During the appointment, your clinician will review your symptoms, medical history, current medication, treatment goals and relevant blood-test results. Possible causes of your symptoms, fertility considerations, treatment options and the potential benefits and risks of TRT will also be discussed.
A consultation does not guarantee treatment. TRT is only prescribed when the clinician considers it medically appropriate and safe.

How much does private TRT cost in the UK?
Horizon TRT treatment plans currently range from £59 to £199 per month. The final cost depends on the treatment prescribed, the stage of treatment, the monitoring schedule and whether you choose an all-inclusive or flexible care plan.

What is included in an all-inclusive TRT plan?
All-inclusive plans combine the prescribed core treatment, scheduled blood-test monitoring, doctor review consultations, standard injection supplies and travel letters where appropriate within one monthly price.
Medication prescribed outside the core treatment plan may be charged separately where clinically appropriate.
What is included in a Flexible Care Plan?
Flexible Care Plans include the prescribed core treatment, scheduled doctor review consultations and travel letters where appropriate.
Blood tests and injection supplies are arranged and paid for separately. They may be purchased through Horizon TRT or another suitable provider, provided the required clinical standards and monitoring schedule are met.
Why do the Flexible Care Plans have different prices?
The monthly price can vary according to the treatment formulation prescribed. Both Flexible Care Plans provide the same standard of doctor-led assessment, review and clinical oversight.
Treatment is selected by the prescribing clinician according to medical suitability and cannot be chosen solely on price.
Are blood tests included in the monthly price?
Scheduled monitoring blood tests are included in the All-Inclusive Plans. They are not included in Flexible Care Plans and must be arranged separately.
The two blood tests normally required before treatment begins are separate from the ongoing monthly treatment plan unless expressly stated otherwise.
How much does a TRT consultation cost?
A new-patient consultation costs £99. A transfer consultation for an established TRT patient moving from another provider costs £75.
Appropriate blood-test results are required before a prescribing consultation can take place.
Does paying for a consultation guarantee treatment?
No. A consultation pays for the clinician’s time and medical assessment. It does not guarantee that TRT will be prescribed.
Treatment is only offered when the clinician considers it medically appropriate after reviewing your symptoms, history, blood results and wider health.
Is private TRT covered by the NHS or health insurance?
Private TRT treatment is not funded by the NHS. Private medical insurance cover varies between insurers and policies, and many plans exclude ongoing private prescriptions or hormone treatment.
Horizon TRT can provide invoices where required, but patients should confirm eligibility and reimbursement directly with their insurer.
